Uniform policy
Year 7 – 11 Uniform Expectations
All students in Year 7 to 11 are expected to wear full and appropriate uniform to school every day and not to do so is a sanctionable offence, even if authorised by parents or carers. Wearing appropriate uniform embodies the high standards that we expect of our students at all times.

All students should wear the Q3 Academy Tipton Sports kit in full as provided by Macron only on days in which they have a Physical Education lesson. This must be ordered online OR via the Macron stall during parents evening. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. The following items are compulsory for Year 7-11:
- Navy blue ‘Macron’ Tracksuit (with Q3 motif)
- Navy blue ‘Macron’ shorts (with Q3 motif)
- Navy blue ‘Macron’ round neck shirt (with Q3 motif)
- Navy blue ‘Macron’ long sports socks
- Suitable trainers for PE – do not need to be a specified brand and can be purchased anywhere
- Optional: Plain navy blue or black ‘under-armour’ type of layer worn underneath PE kit
Students wearing sports kit on non-PE days are not permitted in regular circulation (lessons with other students) and will be asked to go home and change or placed in the Behaviour Recovery room.

During the course of the year, any students needing additional financial support with their uniform costs may approach the school and Assistant Headteacher, Ms K Warmer, who has a budget to support with these needs.
The school does not cover the cost of broken or lost items, or items bought erroneously that need to be replaced (e.g. the wrong shoes).
We ask parents/carers to donate back to the school any good quality items no longer used (e.g. because students have left or grown out of them) and these are used for distribution.
As with all things, the Q3 Academy Tipton’s philosophy with regards to uniform and appearance is that we are preparing our students for the world of work. In all matters relating to uniform, the Headteacher’s decision is final.
