Key Stage 4 Options Information
The Options Process is led by Deputy Headteacher Mrs Rhode.
Options are chosen during Year 9.
These choices are for Year 10 & 11 and will be the students GCSE or equivalent qualifications. It is important that you choose subjects that they actually want to study and/or are in line with their career aspirations.
More Information about each subject being offered is below and during parents evening.
Preference forms and booklets with information about each subject have been given to all students.
Students will study the following subjects:
Maths
English
Science
Core PE
PSHE
Plus four options
Selecting preferred subjects:
- Students must choose one subject that they would prefer to study out of the Ebacc section
- Three subjects from the options section
- One reserve choice must be given for the Ebacc section
- Three reserve choices must be given for the preference section
- Make sure that all selections including reserve subjects are things that your child actually would want to study

*Triple science suitability tests will be on Wednesday 26th February. The test will cover content taught in Year 7 to 9 thus far, more details will be given to students during lessons. Any further information please contact Mr Singh (Director of Science)
