History
History is an essential subject taught to all students in Key Stage 3, and as an option thereafter. Students have the opportunity at KS4 and KS5 to specialise in Ancient History or Modern History. The department boasts a range of specialities, from women's history, to the history of warfare, from ancient history to modern social history – each staff member has a specialist period or theme that enables them to contribute to creating a comprehensive and challenging curriculum for all. We aim to empower students with the confidence to question the world around them and build a better future.
