sixth Form Dress Code
Sixth Form Business Wear
Sixth Form students are expected to follow a similar ‘business wear’ dress code to staff but with some minor adjustments given that they are student role models.
- A formal shirt with a collar (tucked in) and tie or blouse, shirt, or smart top (no T-shirts or casual styles).
- Tailored trousers or chinos (no jeans, cargo trousers, or casual styles) or a skirt, or a dress (skirts and dresses should be an appropriate length for a professional environment).
- A suit jacket or blazer.
- A tie.
- Smart shoes (no trainers, sandals, Ugg boots, crocs or excessively high heels).
- For Sport students, Q3 PE kit only
Please note that:
- Hoodies, denim, leggings, or sportswear are not permitted as part of the dress code.
- One small ear piercing and one small nose stud are permitted.
- Jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets and rings are permitted as long as they are not excessive in number.
- Students studying Sport may wear the Sixth Form Q3 Sports Kit instead.
- Students joining the Sixth Form and in receipt of the bursary are given a £100 clothing voucher.
- As with all things, the Q3 Academy Tipton’s philosophy with regards to uniform and appearance is that we are preparing our students for the world of work. In all matters relating to uniform, the Headteacher’s decision is final.
